Senior Bike Technician – Full Time
North Shore Sports Swap is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Bike Technician to join our team. We’ve been serving the community for over 30 years, offering a mix of new, used, consignment, and service-based sporting goods with a strong focus on customer experience and quality workmanship.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about bikes, takes pride in their work, and can confidently handle everything from everyday tune-ups to advanced repairs and builds.
Responsibilities
- Perform bike repairs, maintenance, and tune-ups on a wide range of bicycles
- Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and efficiently
- Complete wheel truing, brake bleeds, drivetrain servicing, suspension installs, and full bike builds
- Assist customers with service recommendations and product advice
- Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient service area
- Support sales staff with technical expertise when needed
- Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bike mechanic or senior bike technician
- Strong knowledge of modern bike components and repair procedures
- Experience working on mountain, road, commuter, and kids bikes
- Ability to work independently and manage workflow efficiently
- Friendly and professional customer service skills
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
- Experience with suspension servicing is considered an asset
